Welcome to the Kupe Canoe Club web site. Kupe Canoe Club is based in Wellington, New Zealand and we are involved in whitewater and multisport kayaking, although there is also considerable interest in sea kayaking and flat water kayaking within the club. The club is active and participates in the whitewater, multisport and adventure racing circles. Our wide membership circle extends to athletes and adventurers of all types and we welcome anyone coming to Wellington to get in touch. Join the club Whether you want to join up to find some paddle partners, get boat storage or just hop into trips then this is where you go to join us Club Nights We welcome all new people and existing members to our club nights. From March - December, the club nights are held on Wednesday nights at Freyberg Pool, Oriental Parade, from 8:30-10pm. You need to be at the pool before 9pm as the pool staff close the til. Free instruction and free gear hire is available at the pool nights. The charge is pool entry ($4) plus $2 for members or $5 for non-members. Over summer, the club nights move outdoors to our clubrooms at Evan's Bay (Cog Park), from 6:30-7:30pm. Free instruction and free gear hire is also available on these nights. Boat Storage Kupe is fortunate to have secured space in the new storage rooms at the Evans Bay TS Amokura base.
